The final meeting for the 09/10 season at Western springs was a highlight for the Warren motorsport team. Apart from Amanda having her first dnf with a broken gear in her first heat putting her out for the night. Darrens night was more successfull, after starting from the rear in a slippery first heat to finish in 4th and then starting from the front in heat two to finish second giving him the highest points score heading into the feature. THis allowed the choice of grid 1 or 2 for the feature, with the track turning rather rough and only one real line developing the best option was to start off one and make the best of the start. This worked well for Darren being able to get the jump into the first corner over 56A Ross Linklater. There was a early challenge from 3nz Ricky Brett with wheel to wheel close racing between the two untill Darren managed to make the most of a slight mistake to reclaim the lead. This was short lived with a red light stoppage on lap 5 lasting for quite sumtime. However once the race resumed Darren took the lead again and managed to hold off the pressure from behind to take his first feature win at Western Springs. The team now look to the North Island Champs at HB this weekend.

Warren Motorsports Last meeting at Western Springs was successfull with both cars finishing the feature. The first heat saw Amanda start from grid 13 and move up the feild to finish in 8th on a slippery track. Heat two saw Darren and Amanda in the same heat with Amanda off grid 4 and Darren off grid 8, Amanda finished in position 6 and Darren in 8th. Darrens second heat was more successfull with a start position of 7 and a finish position of 3rd. This put Darren off grid 10 for the feature and Amanda off grid 13. The feature was run without to much many cautions or incidents, Darren put in a good drive to finish his best feature position this season of fourth just outside the podium while Amanda kept out of troubl to finish 19th. This ;eaves Amanda 12th in the track championship and Darren in 7th with one round remaining at Western Springs for this season on the 6th of March.

Warren Motorsports last meeting at Weastern Springs proved to be far more sucessfull with running the previous feature from last week and heats and a second feature from this week. THe heats were run first with Amanda out first starting from grid position 9 on a greasy track managed to finish in 7th. The next heat saw Darren Start from grid 13 to finish in 8th. Heat 3 saw Amanda out again to start from grid 7 and only lost one spot to finish in postion 8, giving her a start grid of 11 for the second feature of the night. Darrens final heat saw him start from grid 2 and take the lead from the start from Lawrence Baker and hold it for 8 laps, this gave him a start postion of 7th fro the Second feature of the night. However up first was the rain delayed feature from the previous week with Darren starting from grid 20 and Amanda starting from grid 7. Amanda held off the top cars before dropping down the order a bit to finish a respectable 13th. Darren howver had to work for positions thru the feild and managed a reasonable 10th place with a caution filled end to the race. The second Feature of the night saw Darren Start off grid 7 and Amanda from grid 11. Amanda again drove well to finish 13th with a large amount of dnfs etc it was a good result. Darren lost a postion to finish 8th after a right rear tyre deflated with a hole in the tread surface. So with a pretty solid result in features the team look to the next meeting on the 27th of Feb at western springs.

The last meeting at Western springs was partly successfull for the Warren Motorsport Team, with Amanda Having two good heats and taking a 3rd from her first and a 10th from her second to give her a start position from grid 6 for the feature. Darrens heats started well with a 2nd for the first few laps before a motor miss sidelined him from the heat, the second heat wasnt much better with a motor miss still letting the car down, this gave a start position of grid 20. Luckily the weather decided to turn bad and forced the cancellation of the meeting. This allowed the chance to pull the motor down to find that a tappet adjuster had come out causing a clyinder to only run with 3 valves instead of four. So with the motor now fixed and Amanda showing good form the team will be back at western springs next w.e on the 20th of Feb and Darren will be hoping to improve on his results form last meeting.

The Huntly Midget Champs proved to be pretty successfull for Darren in the Midget starting and finishing a eventfull night. The Cars were split into two groups of 12, with the points from the heats gaining the start position for the 20lap feature. THe first heat saw Darren finish 6th postion, then the second saw a 7th place finish. The Final saw Darren start from position 12 and was able to hold that postion for 18 of the 21 laps after many incidents infront of Darren which were narrowly avoided most of them and after 3 restarts the feature was underway. However another Caution on lap 18 saw the Right Rear bleeder fail causing the tire to deflate as the heat came out of it. When the greens came on the car was tighter and a bit beyond the current skills Darren has as a driver to get around it costing him two spots on the last few laps of the feature to finish in 15th place.
